12 hours of beer, beef, fun and music
Hosted by the The Whole Roast Ox Co in partnership with Springhill Beef and Lamb, this fantastic event took place from midday on Saturday 22 September 2018 at Jervaulx, near Masham - and it was the North of England’s very first Beer & Beef Festival.
On offer was the finest dry-aged Dexter beef - sourced from Springhill Farm itself - along with an eclectic mix of live music, children's entertainment and cookery demonstrations from leading local chefs.
There was a mouth-watering array of sumptuous gourmet beef burgers, steak sandwiches, smoked pulled beef brisket, cured and dried beef charcuterie, and plenty of local beers and gins that accompanied these delicious delights.
The finale to this veritable feast was a whole Dexter ox roast, served at night and included in the ticket price.
Wensleydale Brewery, Richmond Brewing Company, Masons Gin, Corks and Cases and Spirit of Masham Gin provided the drinks, whilst the crowds were kept entertained with awesome performances by Chasing Mumford, Greg Russell and Ciaran Algar, Siren and Strings and The Moonbeams.
And there was family fun throughout the day with face painting, and story teller Rhoda Fraser spinning a yarn or two, linking the themes of beef and farmyard animals.
